4-Cylinder Models SE/S4/S4s/S300/X180R/GT3


These are all the available chips for the 2.2 liter engine. Number 0 is the tamest and number 7 is the most aggressive.

Chip #0 to #3 can be used safely on stock engines.

All our chips can be safely used on bone stock engines. They will not do any harm. However if you also carry out some modifications to the engine in order to help engine breathing you will see a greater effect. For example, chip #6 will give around 330HP on a 100% healthy stock engine. With the addition of K&N filter, high flow cat and exhaust and bigger secondaries you will get between 330-360HP :o)

For Chip #7 we recommend to carry out some more modifications to the engine in order to help engine breathing and reduce air temperature. For example a big Charge Cooler, BOV, reflowed turbo, high flow cat ....

Chips #10 on are special variants for the 2.0 liter GT3.

NOTE : If you are reluctant to destroy your original chip, (i.e. cut all the pins), we can supply, FREE OF CHARGE (simply request it when ordering), a second chip containing the ORIGINAL factory code of your car, allowing you to easily revert back to a completely stock ECU at will, when reselling the car for example, or whatever.

CHIP UPGRADE : If you want to upgrade from one chip to another but don't need/wish to keep your old/previous chip, the new chip can be purchased at a reduced price. See the "Services" section further down this page for details.

MEMCAL ADAPTER : To make it easier to fit your chip into your ECU (no hazardous soldering involved, no need to cut pins...), we can supply an adapter board prefitted with your chip. The board makes it easy to plug/unplug your chip at will. To order your chip fitted to this adpater board, simply select the "Bundle" button of the desired chip.

3. High-Torque-S4s-code, Version 2.0 Review

  - Is based on the improved S4s-Mk5-code but with +18% torque (and similar top end power)
- Is a very good choice like the improved S4s but with that additional punch in low- and midrange
- New Version 2.0 gives better boost control in high boost regions conditions

4. High-Performance code 310HP, Version 2.0 Review

 Switch

Can't take a decision as to what chip you like best to run in your Esprit ? Ever dreamed of having them all and be able to change them instantly ?
Then this product is for you !! :o)
It is a switch board that contains several (eight) different programs.
Once installed, it will let you select your favorite chip most conveniently, just by using a small remote control placed in the cockpit, simplicity itself.
The remote control features a display that lets you know what chip you are using at any given time.
The Switch board is simply plugged into the ECU. Then, the remote control, with it's 2 meter long ribbon cable, is routed into the cockpit.
 
The switch comes fully programmed, ready to use, with the following P.U.K. chips:
 
0) "grand ma" program
1) Original Lotus S4s-MK5-code
2) Improved S4s-MK5-code with the 3k stumble reduced
3) High-Torque-S4s-code
4) High-Performance code 310HP
5) High-Performance code 330HP
6) Red-Race-code
7) Blue race code


Mode '0' ("Grand Ma") limits turbo boost to 0.65 Bar, therefore purposefully limiting the car's performance. This is useful for when you give the keys of your beloved Esprit say to your garage (or your kids!), and are a bit anxious as to what they might do to/with your baby. This mode will limit risks and bring you peace of mind ! ;o)

Warning : although the switch actually lets you change chips literally "on the fly", we would like to remind you that like everytime a chip is changed (generally speaking) or the ECU reset, said ECU needs to "re-learn" the engine, meaning optimum performance will not be reached until a short bedding-in period (30 miles) is completed.
So it is more suited to long term periods, say you switch to mode 6 before going on the track, then switch to mode 5 for road use in summer when roads are dry and warm etc, then switch to mode 2 for road use under wet or otherwise not ideal/"tricky" weather, then switch to mode 0 before dropping the car to the garage, etc.
If you wish to be able to increase performance for short periods, say for the odd 10 car overtaking challenge, then back to normal performance, we suggest the use of our Electronic Variable Boost Controller, which is designed to answer this kind of situations.

MemCal Adapter Board


MemCal Adapter Board € 89,–


With this PUK-Chip-adapter the installation of a new chip is just a piece of
cake. You do NOT need to

- open the original MemCal
- no desoldering of the original Chip
- no installation of a chip socket

You just have to put this new PUK-Chip-adapter between the ECU-connector and
the MemCal. When it is popped-in the new chip will be active.

If you remove the PUK-Chip-adapter, the original/old chip inside the MemCal
will be active again.

A discount is offered to people who already own a PUK chip and don't want to use their old chip anymore: 98,- Euros plus the difference in price between the chip you want and the one you already have. That means that if you currently have chip #4 or above, you only pay 98 Euros. You must return your old chip to us by post, and upon reception, we will promptly send you the new chip :-)
