These clutches are a must have, much cheaper than the OEM unit yet stronger, they will last much longer !
Two models are available, since the S4s uses a different set up.

For Esprit S, SE, S4, GT3

Standard Clutch € 329,–


This clutch is meant for people who may be a bit reluctant/worried about performance parts, or just want an original spec clutch. This clutch carries the very same specs like the OEM one and actually comes from the same supplier.

- Straight replacement, "bolt on" unit
- Complete kit comprising of the pressure plate, friction plate, and release bearing
- Same supplier as the original Lotus clutch (Valéo)






For Esprit S, SE, S4, GT3

+25% Torque € 399,–

- Straight replacement, "bolt on" unit
- Complete kit comprising of the pressure plate, friction plate, and release bearing
- Uprated torque specification, +25%
- Same supplier as the original Lotus clutch (Valéo)
- New design throughout (now same design as our +35% clutch), more reliability,
- Much better torque capablilities than the Lotus (above) design but still easy to press !!!

- Feel wise, and as a comparison, it still feels lighter than a stock S4s clutch for example.

Clutch S4s € 1150,–

- Straight replacement, "bolt on" unit
- Very high quality, slightly better than the stock one
- Complete kit comprising of the pressure plate, friction plate, and release bearing (cage of the bearing is not included, but existing one can be safely re-used)

 

 

For Esprit V8 twin plate clutch only
Friction Discs V8 € 690,–

For Esprit V8 only
Twin Plate V8 Clutch Kit € 1990,–

- This is the Twin Plate Clutch (= Twin Plates, two Discs and release bearing)
- See original parts manual #45 below
- Straight original replacement for all V8 Esprits with twin plate clutch (JFYI, all V8 Esprits should have the twin plate clutch installed except some very early MY96 V8s that came with a single plate unit. But for these early V8 cars there was a conversion program launched by Lotus around 20 years ago. What I wanted to tell is that I donot know any Esprit V8 that still has the single plate unit installed ;-) We also have an uprated version of this clutch available with a higher clamping force. Please just tell us if you like to get one of these instead of the standard version !!!


 

 

Steel Flex Braided Clutch Hose


SS Clutch line € 124,–

The Esprit has a plastic clutch hose installed from factory. This is called the famous "red hose". So is the "famous red hose syndrome" :o(
The plastic line tends to expand when its getting warm/hot. As a result, the clutch doesn't fully disengage, yielding to grinding during gear shifts.
With our braided hose you get rid of the "red hose syndrome".

We know it's not the cheapest clutch line out there, but we wanted this kit to use the best available stainless steel brake line material, to provide your Esprit with the best quality and most durable product. We do believe that because the Esprit is the best road car in the world, it consequently also deserves the best products !! :o)
